The HVAC Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates for HVAC systems, and assists management in bidding on or determining price for services

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze blueprints , specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time cost and labor estimates for products, projects, and services 
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing take-offs for HVAC systems
  • Calculate the cost of equipment, parts, and supplies to be used in the installation or replacement of HVAC systems 
  • Estimate the labor costs for HVAC installation or repair projects
  • Identify and quantify potential cost uncertainties to ensure costing models capture the full range of potential costs 
  • Conduct site visits and study projects specifications to understand the HVAC requirements of the project
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure accurate pricing of materials and equipment 

 

Qualifications:
  • Thorough knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Detail oriented and with mathematical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
  • 2+ years of experience as an HVAC Estimator or in a similar role
  • 3+ years HVAC experience
  • Experience with estimation software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
