Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with current accounts to deliver high-level service and ensure long-term partnerships.
- Identify potential prospects and take appropriate actions to develop new accounts.
- Research and identify market trends to maintain awareness of competitive activity in the roofing industry.
- Evaluate and modify marketing, pricing, and selling strategies to meet the market demands.
- Understand and learn about the products we sell and interact regularly with suppliers to learn about new or upcoming innovations.
- Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all orders are accurate, quotations are provided in a timely manner, and issues are addressed promptly.
- Conduct site visits with clients to address their ongoing sales needs.
- Create and maintain data in systems and software (including Excel and Salesforce) to ensure reliable and accurate statistics for reporting purposes.
- Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and community initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in a sales role, preferably within the residential roofing, construction materials, or distributions industry.
- Ability to read and understand construction specifications, drawings, and technical data is considered an asset.
- College diploma in business or related industry preferred.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
- Proactive problem-solver that can present a variety of options and solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Valid passport required for international travel.
