Description

As a Health Records Assistant, you are a key player on the team, and you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the department and maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient records.

If you are a detail-oriented, organized, and passionate administrative clerical/administrative professional looking for a new challenge We're looking for a Health Records Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining, updating, and organizing patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Qualifications

  • Previous experience with clerical tasks (i.e. filing, scanning, data entry, etc.)
  • Experience within a medical or hospital office is an asset
  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have Medical Terminology Certificate, or be willing to complete training
  • Knowledge of hospital terminology, office procedures and filing
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent keyboarding skills; minimum 35 wpm
  • Ability to use designated reference materials
  • Ability to work under pressure with time constraints
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Microsoft 365 and LWDH software
  • Ability to analyze information/problems and develop solutions and recommendations
  • Physical ability to frequently walk up and down stairs, bend, lift, push and pull
  • Reliable attendance record
