Position Title: Part-Time Supported Group Living Community Navigator

Location: West Niagara and Surrounding Areas

Compensation: $23.38- $25.77 per hour

Nature of Position:

Are you passionate about inclusion and community engagement? Inclusion West Niagara is seeking a temporary, part-time Community Navigator who is dedicated to ensuring that everyone feels valued and included. In this role, you will be a part of the design and implementation for a variety of activities and sessions tailored to diverse abilities, fostering an inclusive environment for individuals in our supported group living homes and community.

Work Schedule:

This position offers a flexible schedule of  35 hours per week,  including evenings and weekends. You will report to the Coordinator of Community Services and Development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging activities that cater to a wide range of abilities.
  • Collaborate with community members, volunteers, and staff to create inclusive opportunities.
  • Set clear goals for the program and evaluate their effectiveness to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Advocate for participants, ensuring everyone feels welcome and included, regardless of their background or abilities.
  • Actively participate in community outreach to strengthen local partnerships.
  • Responsible for program administrative duties such as, maintaining and updating progress notes pertaining to peoples’ goals and program observations. Reading and signing off on annual individual documents, the ability work within the program budget and manage the program registration platform.

The successful candidate will have:

  • The candidate(s) must have a relevant 2-year Community College Diploma or related University Degree or equivalent relevant experience. 
  • Police clearance with vulnerable sector screening.
  • A valid G driver's license and insurable by the agency’s insurance company.
  • Experience in activity planning or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • A strong initiative and problem-solving mindset.
  • A detail-oriented and organized approach to planning and execution.
